30 Day Trans Challenge: 4 - How did your family take it when you came out? If you are not out, why aren’t you?

This is a tough one because I’m in the process of coming out/transitioning.

So here’s how it goes: My family knows I have gender issues; I’ve told my sister and my parents that I intend to transition (haven’t told them that I’m going to regardless of what they say).

Mom seems resistant, dad seems supportive, one sister is totally cool with it, the other sister doesn’t know yet.

I actually intend to talk more seriously to them about it within the next, like, 48 hours or so, because there are medical things to work out. I guess we’ll see more when that happens.

On a side note, I have support of two aunts (which makes my mom’s resistance more confusing) and I can guarantee a lack of support from my grandparents.
